Neue Schule Turtle Top Pelham - 7023-7P-TT
The Neue Schule Turtle Top Pelham is an innovative bit which works well for overactive, busy mouths that tend to chomp and chew on the mouthpiece. The Turtle Top with Flex mouthpiece keeps the mouthpiece centred and arched over the tongue at all times, enhacing the mouthpiece stability and the horse's confidence and acceptance of the contact. The mouthpiece is placed in optimal allignment to the tongue and palate.
This Pelham allows the mouthpiece to deliver some firm but fair pressure to the tongue and poll using a lever action induced rotation of the mouthpiece. The extra pressure obtainable is carefully restricted; Flex limits the range of additional rotation to around 10 degrees. The Pelham has an innovative, lightweight and elegant cheek design, making this bit a popular choice for the show ring. It's designed to be comfortable while promoting a rouder outline and encouraging more freedom through the shoulder. Often sourced for control and self-carriage, this Pelham usually gives more feel than a standard solid mouthpiece which can result in a "wooden" feel.
Available in Small - XX Large; 16mm mouthpiece thickness
